Ah right, I did try that after installing SDK Lite.. I clicked on register and waited for something to appear and nothing did. So I didn't think to much of it, I have tried it again (I got a PM from the OP as well) nothing popped up, but noticed a flash message in the system tray that something was blocked so I changed my firewall to allow ip traffic without discrimination (was set to prompt per request basically) and voila, I got a registration window. Registered and now the tool is working , sweet! thanks for your help guys!!

PS: Also If I may add, I thought preview app - developer unlocked the phone - but apparently not lol.

Nope ! You can't install a xap this way.
Xap can be installed only either by marketplace or through SD card

Go to store.. There in option you'll find
Install local application. Select that you'll find your xap there

Thank you so much, you need to install the windows-phone-8-0-sdk-lite first, but after that it worked perfectly.
