How well respected is BLU?

I'd never heard of them until they announced a Windows Phone, and it kinda sounds like noone outside of Latin America and the Carribean had either, really. Anybody know the reputation of their Android hardware and how reliable it is?

They usually put some *funky* mods on their Android phones. Their Android phones have often seemed junky to me, but I have only seen a couple.

Honestly I would post this question on the sister site Androidcentral.com and see what they have posted or ask over there. Since all of BLU's past offerings have been android that seems like the best place to ask.
