Hp Stream Mini Pc + TV as monitor = Windows Icons Cut off

Hi

I just bought a hp stream mini pc to use on my TV so I can use xbmc. I installed all the updates and everything but all my tray icons get cut off along with other things. I am not sure what I need to set so this does not happen. Seems like it can't figure out the right size to display.
