Hi, when I turn on the Bluetooth on my 8x it starts to search but never finds any Bluetooth enabled devices nearby. It doesn't work for my car's head unit, my other windows phones, wireless speakers... The 8.1 preview was enabled before than I turned it off after the release of W10 preview since they are not going to continue to release updates for 8.1 previews. What should I do? I tried hard reset. I don't know how to flash ROM to an HTC device but if that would be the solution I can do it just need to find the files and application to flash. Anyway need help, appreciate any ideas.. Thanks!

Does the Bluetooth off/on switch on the Bluetooth page ever turn red when you click it on while the "Searching" is displayed?
If you mean if it takes the theme color. Yes it does. And stuck at "Searching". It is not discoverable either.

Looks like you might be stuck with some type of software or hardware problem. Windows 10 will be available soon for the 8X and it might be worthwhile to try it. Microsoft will also have the 8.1 software available to roll back Windows 10, so that would be a way to reload 8.1 if you have Windows 10 problems.

Best next step is a hard reset to reinstall the OS.

After that, it's a return for repair.

BUT... quadruple check your device is discoverable on another device when you are trying to search for it too.
