HTC 8X Live Weather Lock Screen for Windows Phone 8.1

After updating my HTC 8X to Windows Phone 8.1, I noticed that HTC 8X Live Weather Lock Screen no longer works for Windows Phone 8.1 when my phone is locked :crying:. Is the lock screen removed from WP 8.1 or am I missing something? I have the lock screen background set to HTC but still when I lock my screen it shows a background picture from the background pictures folder instead of the live weather app! I really loved the lock screen, any suggestions please?

The original update to 8.1 did break the HTC app, including the Live Tile clock. That was OS version 8.10.14147.180 that broke it for me. But there has been an update from HTC finally, but I don't know how widespread the rollout has been.

My 8X is an unbranded UK variant and I got an update on 12/02/15 from HTC and this is what changed:-
OS Version 8.10.14219.341
Firmware 3030.0.52001.401
Bootloader 0.0.3030.0(181178)

The Live Tile and lockscreen work happily again although, since the introduction of "more tiles", the HTC tile looks somewhat diminished even when wide tile is applied. It's lost some of its appeal.

So what are your version numbers/carrier/locked or unbranded? HTC haven't been very forthcoming with information on how/when they are updating any original WP8.0 devices to 8.1.

Thanks for the info. I got the official update on 16-Mar-2015 and following are my version numbers:

OS Version: 8.10.14203.306
Firmware: 3030.0.52002.707
Bootloader: 0.0.3030.0(181178) - same as your's
Carrier is Aircel India, Locked and an Unbranded variant.

I looked up my OS version number on WP's update history page. I couldn't find .306, but did see .206 Also, your OS version number .341 is displayed. Do I need to check/wait for updates again?

Note: You may be wondering why I'm asking you that if I need to check/wait for updates? Coz believe me HTC has no idea when it comes to WP updates :winktongue:.

Do you have the Preview for Developers enabled? If so, try disabling it and check for updates again.

Nope! No DP enabled. It's the official WP8.1 update! Have been checking for updates. About Phone says "Phone is up to date".
