Hi all,

My phone seems to have developed quite an annoying problem today, or else I hadn't noticed it until today. When playing audio, and there is a pause in the sound the speaker seems to 'fuzz', that's the only way to describe it - it's almost like white noise. Now this isn't really a problem when playing things which don't have many pauses and are loud, but this seems to have carried across to when typing messages (Or any typing on the phone). If the phone is set to ring + vibrate, meaning that the key tones will be on. So when typing a message, this fuzzing noise plays out of the speaker constantly, even when i'm not pressing any keys. It is audible enough to be heard at an average texting distance, and seems to change pitch when I press the keys. I first noticed this when using the new 6sec vine client, which when scrolling through the autoplaying vines, in which there is audio playing and stopping quite quickly, there would be a small beep coming from the speakers whenever the audio stopped. After a reboot, the noise seemed to be quieter during messaging, but then after going on the 6sec app, or any app which plays a lot of audio, the sound would increase again.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Could people go on there messages app, start typing something with key tones on and then listen to the speaker and see if it's making this fuzzing noise.

Thank you!

Did it make this noise before installing the 6sec vine client?

Not that I know of, I had never heard it until then. Maybe it was just quieter before, or I hadn't noticed it. It seems quieter now, although still there. Increasing the volume does nothing to the fuzzing sound, it is constant.
