Kept getting an error with the software with a prompt to uninstall and then get it back again. Ignored it for a long time, but finally uninstalled it.

Now it doesn't show up in history and going to the windowsphone store online from the computer shows the software, but says it isn't available for my phone. And the software doesn't show up in the store on the phone at all.

Now what? I'm stumped at this point.

This is on an HTC M8? On Mine if I go in settings there is a section for dot view set up. I don't use it so I leave it off, but do you not have that setting? Also, I noticed a few days ago the store had an update for the dot view. In any case the dot view software comes imbedded in all M8's , just need to activate it by turning it on. Sorry I'm not more help, but I'm kind of stumped why your going to the store app list from a PC. All M8's should have this in settings.
OK, reread your post. You were able to uninstall the dot view software? Didn't know this was possible. Maybe someone else knows something, but I also didn't know it was available in the store, I don't think it is. It's an M8 feature only right now. How did you uninstall it?

Unfortunately I was able to uninstall it. :(

And now the store says it isn't available for the phone it was already on. I could do a factory reset and get it all back but I'm not sure what I have to do to set it up after that reset.

OK, did a 'hard reset' and am in the process of restoring the last backup. It's been at 21% for a bit hope it isn't stuck there!

Restore went fine though it did take quite a bit of time and all is good now.

Note to self: if HTC Dot View complains again, DON'T uninstall just ignore it like I did for about a month.
