HTC One M8 T-Mobile ― Notification light?

Is there somewhere in the settings that would allow me to make the small green light illuminate when an email, text, or some other message arrives?

Nope. Green light is when your all juiced up and the red is for when its charging. I've noticed that when the battery fall bellow 15% the red light starts to flash.
