Hi guys, i have updated my huawei w1 using this tutorial:

http://forums.windowscentral.com/wi...-ascend-w1-will-work-windows-phone-8-1-a.html

and now i want to revert to windows 8 only, because im having trouble with the sd card not detecting by the phone, its pretty annoying i already put another sd card but no avail, so can i still flash winodws 8 rom so that i can downgrade without bricking the phone?

thank you guys :)

You will most likely need to contact Huawei, I looked on their website under support for the W1... the cupboard was pretty empty.

Take it to a Huawei customer service centre. Unlike Nokia, Huawei doesn't have user friendly tools for ROM flashing. Are you sure the problem started exactly after upgrading to 8.1? Have you seen similar reports elsewhere? (It shouldn't stop working for you only)? If not, your SD card slot might be damaged itself and a rollback won't help.

The SD card problem is to do with WP8.1 preview. The only way to get the phone to detect the SD card is to plug in the charger, open cover, remove battery and slide SD card out of its slot a tiny bit, then push in. If you have the Storage sense app open you will see the SD card suddenly show up. Replace battery, remove charger and now you'll be able to access SD card. The big problem is you have to repeat this every time you switch off the phone.
