Has anyone gotten this to work? I can't start a screen on my computer, maybe of someone knew what I'm doing wrong they could share!

I have personally not used that app but reading the following article it seems it seems it uses a web page on the PC to view the videos. Have you set up the browser side of Hurl yet?

Hurl | Windows Phone Central

Yes I have been on the site on PC. Sometimes it will load the full website and sometimes it will be the same site my app pulls up on the phone.

When I get the full site on my PC, it asks for a screen name and an address. In the address box it asks for screen address, city, state. Well I don't know a screen address and I can't figure one out through the app or PC. I've looked everywhere to figure out what I'm doing wrong but I'm at a loss. App would be really cool to get working when I have friends over.

Thanks for the reply!!

I have gotten it to work. Basically, just type in a random screen name, and your address.

Once that is done, click on start screen. Then launch the app, and it will use GPS to match the address you just entered. (Sometimes this does not work, so you can search for your PC through your screen name manuallly as well). AS soon as you find your PC, start searching and playing YT videos with the inbuilt search in the app. And voila, it will start playing on your PC.

As a side note, i also tried doing this through my PS3 browser on my TV, but it did not work. I think it needs Flash or some other plug in, that only a PC seems to have right now...

There is a how to video at the bottom of the website. Have you guys checked it out?

Yes I did watch this a few times. It is very bland and doesn't really show to much. I have done everything like they have in the video. I'm pretty tech savvy so something this simple being this difficult is surprising...

This is what I try to do but always get an invalid address error.

Do you type your house number & street name, city, state? The only address it asks for is city and state, the first part says screen address not street. I've tried doing all combinations tho with no success. Maybe you can feed me a little more info on what exactly you typed without revealing your personal info?

Thanks much for the post and the help.

Yup. For screen name (1st field), i just typed my name. Then for address, i typed my full adress without the apartment number. Now, when you launch the app, the gps should locate you, and realize that there is one account hurling at the same address you are located in. (Again, if this does not work, use the manual option, type in the address manually, and you'll find it.)

Let me know if this works, and if not, what is not working

As simple as it is guys, remember your Location Services will need to be on.

Sometimes we overlook the simple things :)

You can just type in your zip code when creating a screen at www.hurl.net - a full address is not required. The app should be able to find the screen once it's launched using GPS.
