This happened today during a tram ride, I was browsing Reddit with my Lumia 820 when an old lady (approx. 65 years old) sitting opposite to me starts talking to me:
Old lady: "Excuse me, but what kind of gloves are you wearing since you can use your phone with them?"
Me: "Normal ones, the new Nokia Windows Phones work even with gloves."
Old lady: "But I have a Nokia too... 808!"
She then proceeds to open her purse but stops and says:
Old lady: "No wait... you mean one of them Lumias, right?"
Me: "Yes. Mine's the Lumia 820."
Old lady: "And it works with any gloves?"
Me: "Yes, even with thick ski gloves."
The lady looks at my phone for a few seconds and then says:
Old lady: "...So I've been freezing my fingers for no good reason?" (-8 ?C today)
Me: "I guess you can see it that way."
Old lady: "I need to get myself one of those then. Thanks!"
She then turns back to her friend (another old lady) and starts talking to her about who she absolutely hates using her phone outside during winter because of the cold weather. The friend of hers concurs, I guess she too uses a touch screen device? At this point I was wondering if I should clarify to her which Lumia models have the super sensitive screen but I got a feeling that she now knows now what she wants and won't buy one without trying it first.
