I am in the UK and have 8.1 installed but still no Cortana, why?

uk and with 8.1 but still no cortana, why?

ive had my Lumia 1020 for almost a year and had the update since its release but cortana is not there, is there something im doing to get it on my phone?

You need 8.1 update 1.
I guess you miss update 1 ={denim or preview for developers)
