From what I understand, OP's HTC Windows Phone from AT&T was stuck in HTC logo screen and can't boot pass it. One of the WP8.1 update can cause that issue (I encountered once) during the update process. In that case, you need soft reset, IIRC, by hold both volume down and power button until the phone restarts.
