Hi @ Johnny Cash! Don't know if this will help, but I have found it useful when I uninstall and reinstall. Some times files get left behind and stop you from reinstalling.
I use a great program called Search Everything. It will find any files left behind. It's a great program to have in your arsenal!

Hi! I'm saying that when I have had problems trying to reinstall programs that I have uninstalled; after I cleaned up all the left over files with Search Everything, I was able to reinstall the program. I also use regedit to remove left behind registry items also, but that's a different ball game. HTG shows you how to use this tool!
Everything is an Awesome Utility that Locates Files and Folders Instantly in Windows
PS This is a great tool and it's worthy of a try!
