Hi Jay, first of all I really love the look and smoothness, so WP like.

I have a couple of comments.

1. Is there a mark all forums read option somewhere?

2. Any way to place the poster information differently so there is more real estate for the post itself? This one is just aesthetics and my acute nearsightedness.

Mark all read is not available yet but is definitely planned (can you open a new post in change suggestions for it please?)

As for the layout, I've done it this way so you have a visual break between posts and always have the post options in a nice consistent Metro layout. Again, raise this in a change suggestion post if you like, see what the general feel is from the other testers.
In the meantime you could turn the phone sideways and look at it landscape which will give the posts more horizontal space
