I dont like any of the new phones

First off, do not settle. Period. Others of us may not totally understand what your preferences are, but if the 920 is uncomfortable and the ATIV is too big, then so be it. The Nokia 810/820/822 series and the 8X are possible, but why settle if you do not have too? The 8S has a 4.0" screen, but also a different screen no front facing camera. It is likely to be readily available to a ton of carriers, so keep that one in the "worth checking out" department.

But if your Focus is still doing the job for you, then yes by all means wait. The biggest problem you have (yes, pun intended) is that multi-media is the driving force behind mobile right now. Videos, gaming, streaming pod casts, all these things are pushing device makers to as large of screens as they can. It is why Apple finally jumped on a larger screen, and why you see high end only meaning 4.3" or larger. You might have to make some trade offs to get your screen and weight preferences.

A big part of the reason I went with the 920 is that I didn't like my other options. The iphone 5 is very well made, but still too small, and too held back by iOS. Samsung phones feel like toys, too plasticy. Motorola is dead to me after their lies about android upgrades, and inexplicable screen damage to my MotoACTV. HTC is a runner up, and but I don't like the soft touch coating they use, and the camera bump on the One X annoys me greatly.

Now that I have it, I love how substantial the 920 is. it feels like a solid piece of polycarbonate with a screen fused to it, where most phones feel like a delicate shell around electronics.
