...ok, first off i'm a BIG protonate for windows phone (or soon to be mobile [again]...whatever) and the windows ecosystem, persuaded my wife to hop onboard from iPhone which she loves because of the family room...onedrive...etc. I'm currently running the 8.1 update preview on my phone as well as my wifes and this just upped the ante for wp enjoyment. I've been on wp8 since it was released using the Samsung 822 and now using the icon.

But there are just 3 apps, yes only three apps that i don't see wp getting anytime in the future that has me on the fence. I've labeled them in accordance of importance to me.

1) SiriusXM - for the past 2 years I've been carrying on old android phone that has become my "siriusXM player". i need my Sirius and am still reading threads from two years ago about this availability
2) Withings Pulse - no third party apps (only for scale), again had to add to my android phone (wifey added to her ipad)
3) Weight Watchers - there are 3rd party apps but thy do not have full functionality as "other" phone apps (wifey added to her ipad)

Wifey says she's going to jump ship at the end of her contract because of these lacking apps and other apps that do not have full functionality.

And now with added online features for ms office for both iPhone and android (somewhat related but more of a reason to stray from ecosystem) i'm starting to see no reason to stay on wp.

Maybe i will jump ship for a couple of years or get on one of those pay-off payment options till i see that wp apps has surpassed the 1mil mark.

Sorry just had to vent and hope that maybe someone out there knows something i don't.

Thank guys and gals.

We all have our reasons for staying and going. Mine was wanting to try something new that and the lack of a phone I wanted to upgrade to.

There is hope and I'll call it that, that when W10 comes around things will get better. For me if I decide to go back to WP it will be once I'm reading for a new phone again. Which is about two years from now unless I damage the one I own.

I haven't fully left as I still have my L920 to see what W10 is like. My curiosity is still there. :)
