Hi i am about to upgrade to Windows 8 from Windows Vista using the download version but i have a couple of questions first.

1) If i choose to keep nothing will that mean it will wipe my computer clean and clear out my HDD ? Because i want to start afresh and then just reinstall what i actually use. I have already saved all my photo's and music etc to a external HDD. Or should i restore my computer to factory settings before upgrading?

2) I have a live.co.uk e-mail account and was thinking of upgrading to a Outlook.com account before i make the switch to windows 8, But do i need to do this or should i just stick with live.co.uk? I did read that you can just login to outlook.com using your exsisting account details and it moves it all over for you but its not letting me do this?

You do not need to upgrade to outlook.com for Windows 8, you can stick with Hotmail and live. You can log into outlook.com with live and Hotmail accounts, as it is all Live IDs.
