Look at their purchases/partnerships in the past couple of months.

HTC partners with Beats, awesome audio focused devices coming this fall | ZDNet

I am a big fan of HTC’s smartphones and the HD7 is my current favorite. However, high end audio quality and camera performance have been two areas of the hardware that has disappointed in the past. They seem to be working to get their cameras updated, as seen in the myTouch 4G Slide, and last night announced that partnered with Beats Electronics LLC to focus on brining high performance sound to HTC phones.

With the incredible Zune Pass offer and experience on Windows Phones, a partnership with Beats and its Beats by Dr. Dre audio experience could result in some of the best HTC phones ever. It looks like Nokia will get some special treatment from Microsoft and provide a fantastic navigation service to Windows Phone so it is cool that HTC will differentiate with an amazing audio experience.

Beats buys MOG music streaming service | The Verge

The rumors that have been floating around are true: according to All Things D, Beats has purchased the MOG subscription music service. While HTC owns 51 percent of Beats, HTC told us that it is not directly acquiring MOG. However, due to their major investment in Beats, we wouldn't be surprised to see more integration between MOG and HTC going forward. This sale comes despite MOG's CEO David Hyman saying last month that the company had no plans to sell.

From today (3/26) HTC partners with Intertrust, buys 20 percent of SyncTV -- Engadget

...as part of HTC's ongoing efforts to create comprehensive mobile experiences for consumers, it has acquired 20% of Intertrust's SyncTV subsidiary. SyncTV is a cloud-based video service that delivers video over the Internet to a broad set of devices, including Android, Windows Phone, XBOX, iOS and Internet-enabled televisions.

It seems like HTC is investing heavily into streaming music/movie entertainment. Hopefully this opens the doorway for current and future HTC Windows Phones to get some amazing multi-media apps. If HTC is wise they'll quickly release these services to counter shrinking sales due to Nokia, Samsung, and Apple.
