Icon Now - or wait for 8.1?

I really like the Icon, but think I'm going to ultimately end up waiting until news of Windows Phone 9 comes out. I don't want to buy a phone now and Microsoft and the phone makers decide Windows Phone 9 won't be loaded on it. If they guaranteed the Icon would get WP9 when it comes out (next year?) then I'd buy one today.

Yeah, WP lags ADroid in capturing all your personnel information and emails to sell to you. WP lags ADroid in security, not.

IOS does not support SD Cards, wireless charging, full dedicated camera button, 6 inch screens, 4K video recording, double tap to wake etc.

For starters Microsoft has captured personal data before, and from the leaks in the news it sounds like all of these tech giants have been lying and actually knew about the data leaks they gave out.
Secondly this phone (And a lot of other Windows Phones) don't support SD Cards. So it seems odd to talk down iOS like that.

Personally I'd wait OP as it is only 10 more days and you never know what could pop up.
That being said I seriously doubt Verizon will have another phone, it appears the main phones that will be shown off or the Lumia 930, and 630 which will be GSM oriented.
