Icon Worth It?

I love my Icon! It meets all of my needs. Great size, wonderful camera, and it's fast. I used to preach both Android and Iphone before getting a Windows phone. At first, I was hesitant to give Windows phone a try, but now I'm glad I did! I'm constantly running things and have yet to experience any lag. For me, the pros outweigh the cons that some people are mentioning. I will be rooting for Windows phone...It really deserves a chance.

........Love the phone and had a 928 before the note 3

I also went from several android based phones to the 928 and then the Icon. I have been very happy with both Windows 8 phones. I could not see moving back to other platforms.

The Icon is as large a phone as I would want so I don't have Note 3 envy. The ultimate compliment that I have repeatedly given the Icon is that it does everything it is supposed to do extremely well. No locking up, no lags, no hesitation, no rebooting. Efficient and smooth as silk. Great pictures even if you don't tweak them with all of the control that Nokia builds in. Point and shoot. I think the email, texting and social media interfaces are stellar. I read all kinds of niggling complaints on the forums about the Icon like no glance, no blinky light, not enough apps. Here's mine: I don't care if Android would give me unlimited home screens filled with a million apps...if I swipe to another screen and it hangs or hesitates I get annoyed. If I start an app and it hangs or crashes...now I'm pissed. The phone and the operating system are not performing as advertised and I want a solid experience. I never got that from Android. I don't know of a single claim that Nokia or Microsoft have made regarding their hardware that I have not found in the performance of the Icon.

Had my GF switch from iPhone to the Icon. No complaints whatsoever. She is heavily on social networks such as facebook, instagram, vine and although there are offical apps for vine and instagram she prefers the third-party ones. Make the switch :)

I've heard the third party apps were good, but that's awesome! Glad she's enjoying it!
