When I was driving around the town last weekend, there were quite a few temporary cop check points. As I saw few drivers had been caught. Just image if the band have an alcohol sensor.. LOL

Drinking and driving is never a good thing. Anyone who thinks they need a sensor has likely already had too much.

Saying that, enjoy the Christmas season and spirit! Safety.

OMG! It they had sensors, my friends and I would try to get the higher numbers. That would be a bad thing.

Interesting "what if", but as far as I know, no one has created a wrist-wearable sensor for that. Or a wrist-sized breath analyzer.

It amazes me at how ignorant and bizarre some alcohol drinkers are. I hope your thread was some sort of parody or "social experiment." Anyone that believes drinking and driving is OK should be penalized SEVERELY. Anyone that thinks that having an alcohol sensor on their smart-wrist tech should go to a therapist and consider putting the bottle down.

This tech hasn't been considered because it's a stupid idea.

Wow, everyone's so serious today. I read the OP's as a totally humorous one-liner on a Monday morning. Everyone's jumping on the OP as advocating using it to Drink & Drive, did he say that anywhere? Nope.

Chill out & Relax, maybe have a nip or 2 at home and realize that it was just a funny quip. Its ok, we all know that drinking & driving isn't ok...I myself got a nice chuckle out of it.

? of the usuals are so tightly wound on this site. Ugh.

Talking about breath analysers, it reminds me of this device I'd seen a while back (like, 2008) which tells you if your breath stinks. It might sound dumb, but imagine how convenient it would be! Breath onto your band, and get Cortana to tell you "Master Chief, you smell really bad. Brush your teeth".

LOL, I like their seriousness. However, I like your sense of humor better.

Actually there are devices that do just this but are considered medical grade so the courts can require offenders to wear them, normally around the ankle but sometimes the wrist too.

I am pretty sure "LOL" stands for "Lots of Love". I would know, my grandmother always says, "I love you, LOL". OP is just trying to look out for us!

Had a buddy who had one in his car. He had to blow in it to get the car to start and then like every 15 minutes after that..

Yeah.. he had a problem....
