I'm hoping other folks need a fax option/app

Yes, yes, I know that the fax is old hat, but a lot of business still use it. Wouldn't it be awesome if we could send a fax from the email hub? With an attach option for say a .doc or .pdf?? Please help!!!! I don't know how to make something like this work.. 8)

Couldn't tell you the last time I sent a fax. I still receive a good many of them but they all go right to my email. I use a fax service that has a webpage that allows me to fax out should I need to.

I would expect that's about the best you are going to get.

Fax still have to travel through telephone lines to arrive at the destination. So one way or another, you will need send the fax through one of the fax service providers. An app won't magically send fax out by itself.
Once you signed up with one of the service, they may let you send fax out via email. So, no apps required.

But see, I'm thinking that my WP 8X IS a phone. Its just a matter of enabling the language to communicate the desired result to a machine on the other end.

It doesn't work that way. FAX needs an analog line (POTS) with a FAX modem modulated on it. Cell phones these days are all digital. There is no way to transmit fax signals on it. Even with digital VoIP phone lines at home, FAX machines often have trouble transmit on it. FAX is a protocol invented 30 years ago. The modern version of FAX called Email with attachment.
