IM or Nimbuzz alternative

Hello Friends?..

Is there any IM Instant messenger (for yahoo and gtalk) which gives notification while the phone is locked or when the same is running in background???
Nimbuzz does not give notification when in background however it used to give notification if the screen was locked and Nimbuzz running, but since yesterday that too has stopped once the screen is locked in Nimbuzz.

Any work around or any other messenger????

I think nimbuzz can do that, may the problem is in nokia devices, you can download nimbuzz for PC instead!
Just try it!

I have found IM+ useful......it runs in background (needs to be activated through settings/push notification)....and gives toast notification too.
