I'm still not sure how to treat my Surface RT...

I know it is technically a tablet but it feels more like a computer. Should I turn it off like a computer on or should I leave it always on like tablets? This is a compliment to Microsoft for creating so good of a tablet that it doesn't feel like a tablet. I've only had it for two full days and I absolutely love it so far.

I turn it off every third day.

It's a fantastic tablet. Much better than iPad and much much better than any Android.

I only turn mine off when apps start freezing or when there's updates.

Or I forget to plug it in and it runs out of juice.

Basically, I treat it as the tablet it is.

I only shutdown or restart my RT when it comes to updates for the most part. 8 is supposed to be optimized for tablet use, and I haven't had any issues going long periods without a complete reboot.

I never turn my Surface RT off. One of the huge advantages the Surface RT has over my Surface Pro 2 is connected standby. You plop open the keyboard and the whole system turns on quickly. On the SP2, you open it and it's still "off". And you press the power button, it takes a few seconds to get into Windows.
