TOUCH SCREEN. a pro with a touchscreen would be glorious. it's also something missing from "netbooks" and finally an argument for why it's would benefit users to pick up a redfly rather than a netbook. not only that.. but windows mobile pro users are already familiar with the touch screen interface.. a nice little pen and voila.
handwriting recognition is already built in.

also... video support.

Yes! Touchscreen and video. Those would be fantastic.

Also, while we're redesigning the thing anyway, can I get < and > keys which are the same size? I do not understand the current design. Keeping everything else exactly as is, I see no reason why > could not have been made a little bit larger and < a little bit smaller. I mean, heck, the period is used more often than the comma. If there was going to be any size difference shouldn't it at least have been opposite of what it is?

Speaking of keyboard design, can we also push the arrow keys "down one row" from where they are, thus freeing up space to put SHIFT where it "belongs"? If those were moved down, the SHIFT key could be stretched to the size of the ENTER key, and both the > and ? keys could be increased to the same size as everything else.

Heck, that could actually all be done even without moving the arrow keys. Just replace the current DN button with a rocker switch, the upper half of which would replace the UP key, and the lower half of which would replace DN.

YES and YES. I used to use an Intermec 6651 (Dagnab it, I have fewer than 10 posts so I can't put a link here), an HPC2000 device very similar in size to the Redfly. DANG, I loved that device. I still have it. Until I started augmenting my PDA phone with the Redfly, it was by far the best PDA experience I've ever had. But it had one feature that's lacking on the Redfly: a TOUCH SCREEN. That would be a huge boost to the Redfly's capabiities.

Ditto for video support. The sooner we see that capability added, the better.

P.S. Intermec 6651: www dot pocketpcfaq dot com slash reviews/intermec6651.htm

I have to say that touchscreen wouldn't add much for me unless there are some fancy OS features that will enhance my usage experience. My hands are at the keyboard all the time, so tickling the touchpad is perfect for me. I won't use a mouse with RedFly as forcing my to put it on a flat surface defeats the portability of the RedFly IMHO.
