Agree that it would look like the Google Play store. There would be large number of useless, poorly written apps. The developer account fee is very small and any big name company that develops for other platforms is not going to have any problem paying it. The real cost is in developing, testing, updating, maintaining, etc. This is why Microsoft sometimes has to compensate or help a developer to get the app developed.

Even though we might have some poorly written apps, at least we'll be able to fill the 'windows phone doesn't have any apps!' problem.

Google play store is $25 fee to submit apps. Only BlackBerry App World Vendor system is free

Microsoft needs to make a SDK that can be used in any developer's choice of editors and tools. I'm not installing Windows 8 on my Mac just to develop apps.

Right, so Microsoft should allow development for their devices using rival products. That will happen when we can develop for iOS using Visual Studio!!!

I'm not buying a Mac, yes an entirely different machine, to develop for iOS!!!

It is practically free, I mean $19? Also, It's easy to come by free tokens. I have already 3 so far since developing this summer, through Nokia and DLVUP.
