Important Safety Tip - Corrected

You may know that lying the Fuze face down will silence the ringer, right? I forgot that and out of habit, would have the Fuze face down on my desk or at home while hooked up to the charger.

I kept wondering why I was missing calls then the light bulb went off.

Uh, are you sure about that? You do have the phone, so for now I'll have to take your word for it, but I thought it was just the action of flipping the phone that would silence the ringer, not actually being upside down. This worries me, since being in my pocket in a seated position, the phone will naturally be "upside down" (I place the screens facing my thigh in case I bump into something...would rather crack the back case than the screen)

I stand corrected. It does require the phone to be flipped over while ringing. I tried it out at the home locations where I had been missing the calls.

I dialed the phone and the Fuze didn't ring. I looked a little closer and noticed the signal was incredibly weak. I moved the phone to a different area and laid it faced down, dialed it and sure enough it rang.

I was concerned as well with how I carry the phone at times. Now I just have to find a place in the house that has a good signal and a convenient wall outlet.

Hmm, was your reception that bad with your prior phone? Or did you just move to AT&T? Wondering if the Fuze has worse reception than it should.

It doesn't _really_ matter for me, as I'm with Verizon, and hopefully will be getting their version, as soon as I find out if they really did gimp it to 128 MB RAM as it states on their website, but am still curious.

My house is down in a hole and I guess Verizon would consider it a "dead zone". Reception has been spotty with every phone I've owned.

I should have thought about reception but when I noticed that I placed the Fuze face down while charging, that stood out.

I am weary about gyro-functions and their inability to be consistent. My brother's "shake" to "vibrate" feature on his Touch Pro doesn't work exactly as well as my 800w ringer switch. It's glitchy and I was embarrassed for him when he tried to demo it for me :D
