Just bought Hp Elite X3 @ Microsoft store yesterday. I was not offered i Insurance program.....does Microsoft not offer that on phones anymore? If not, what are my options for protecting my investment of $800 in this phone?

Did you explicitly ask for insurance?

Asurion or some other gadget insurance provider may cover that model, they do a lot of this stuff.
Your service provider like AT&T also has these programs.
Some retailers offer it. and I'm not sure if Microsoft offers it for this HP (non-Microsoft-made) phone.

Just go back and ask for their Microsoft Complete plan.
