Internal memory was full now can't access phone, email etc. What can I do?

Internal memory was full now can't access phone, email etc

Lumia 635.. I have been getting messages saying internal memory full, now I can't open my phone, contacts, messages or email, basically anything that is using the memory.. I have uninstalled lots of apps to make space. I cannot open the phone when I connect it to the PC to try and transfer photos and videos.

I installed an SD card and moved all my photos/videos onto the card. All was well for a month or so, until I started getting the "memory full" message again and was unable to send texts/take more photos
In "storage sense" the default option is for all videos/photos to be stored on the SD card rather than the phone itself - and I have 13GB of memory left on the card - so I can't understand why it keeps happening
Time to invest in an iPhone methinks!!!
