Internet connectivity issue with GPRS

Hi,

I'm using Lumia 930 WP in Chennai with Aircel 3G pack activated in it, for the past 1 week. I manually defined the settings in it (aircelgprs) with the help of customer care executives of Aircel.

Now the problem is whenever I want to use Data pack for connecting to Internet, I have to restart my phone once. Then only its working. Otherwise, there is no connection.

Is this common across Lumia ? Is there any workaround for this - like disabling n enabling SIM, etc. ?

Have you tried simply turning airplane mode off and then turning it on again?

I'm suspecting that you SIM needs to "disconnect" from the mobile service provider first before changes in policies, plans, features, etc. can take effect.

Thanks a lot Bernardo. Turning on and off the airplane mode works for me as a quick turn-around to avoid restarting.
