Internet Sharing not working on 521

I have the grandfathered smartphone plan with Hotspot included which worked fine on my HD7 before it met it's demise. I tried to enable it it states that my plan does not include the hotspot but if I go to Tmo website and read details for my plan it says it is included. Anyone have this issue or know what I need to do before calling customer service ?

make sure:

1. the "access point" menu settings (in settings) are correct
2. you are on 3G or 4G (i've read some devices cant do 2G hotspot)
3. Wifi is off
4. airplane mode is off

No problems here in getting Internet Sharing working. Was able to hotspot my focus flash and computer via wifi to my 521.

I am on 60 plan with (2.5gb data with HotSpot).

If it was me and you cannot get it working, I would call t-mobile and request a new sim.

I had to call TMO and change plans, the monthly plan was the same dollar amount, but now I think I’m limited to 500mb tethering.

Works fine - updated my Kindle.

Went smooth.

No plan changes..
