after many attempts i finally changed values to 1024 1024. i was really pleased. initially my lumia 640lte seemed a bit snappier. but WhatsApp and other large apps still take a while to load. I get loading and resuming still on WhatsApp with the values at 1024 1024. so no great shakes! I originally had values of 256 256. so the improvement is not spectacular. anyone else?

Your links require an app that 'Store' can not locate. Plus, you're assuming I'd know about such threads.

The first link is a link to a thread from forums.windowscentral.com and the second link is a link to a thread from forum.xda-developers.com. They works and they don't require what you say. I didn't assume you knew those threads, otherwise you would have post your message on those threads, just I indicated you those threads.

I get that from my surface 3 since creators build

Edge settings, advanced settings, there's a toggle for Open Websites in apps... you can choose some to open or none...

It's cool, somethings are better consumed by app... I wouldn't mind the WC links open to app but it's missing the part where it jumps to the comment I got an email notification on.
