I listen to music on my phone for 4 hours a day (have a really long commute). I have a nice pair of Bose In Ear headphones designed for the iPhone. I was wondering if they would work in the Lumia 900. Could someone who has a Lumia 900 try a pair of iPhone headphones with it? I'd like to know what of the below works:
- Audio (probably)
- Mic (hopefully)
- multifunction button (hopefully)
- volume up / down buttons (probably not)

I can live without the buttons working, but I need the sound and mic to work. Thanks. I just pre-ordered this thing last week. This will be my first Windows Phone since my HTC Touch Pro running Windows Mobile6/6.5.

If nobody knows, I'll post my findings on Friday (hopefully it comes then)

If I remember correctly when I had the titan the mic and the button did work but not the volume.

Apple and HTC use the same mic/button pinouts, they are not compatible with Samsung and vice versa. It's down to hardware OEM, not the OS.

I think Samsung follows spec technically, and Nokia generally have as well. See what 800 and 710 owners are using will give you the answer.

The original iphone Headphone doesn't work that great on my Optimus black. All the controls work and the sound is divine but no body could hear me after a while.

the functions of my Nokia headset do not work with my iPhone, so I'm assuming iPhone kit would not work with the nokia?
