Is Cortana turning into google now?

For the past few days cortana is behaving like google now, not talking much, but just showing web search. Now when I ask, "will it rain today?", its just showing Bing search result;not talking like before..

Its a bug with Cortana alpha version, I noticed it this morning! Anyways hope it gets fixed soon!

They often update the things behind the scenes and stuff, so something was probably accidentally fiddled with.

Might have been a backend problem while tweaking for the March Madness predictions possibly... Hopefully it gets fixed soon, cause I prefer chatty AIs

And by the way, Google Now isn't that dumb anymore. Here's it's reply to the same question.

Although, they have different sources for forecasts.

I have never asked Cortana for the weather before so after reading this thread I tried it. Gave me the weather in voice. Nice.

Now its ok.. Back to normal.
But its not displaying the weather in my place. Gps is on only. When i ask "where am I now", it's telling correctly my current location..
Is anyone else facing this problem when asking about weather details? Earlier it used to tell exactly the weather in my place...
