Is it now possible to assign static IP address to Windows Phone 8.1 to connect to Wi-Fi?

I had the same problem on WP 8 and still have it on 8.1
So frustrating. The settings for editing the IP address is still blocked. Makes no sense

Hate to burst your bubble but this feature will not come with cyan...at least it's not on the Lumia 630 I ordered. I'm very disappointed

Guess what a colleague at work bought a dual SIM Lumia 630 but unlike all the other 630s I've come in contact with, his has the ability to assign static IP to Wi-Fi networks. His phone doesn't even run on WP 8.1 update 1. What on earth is wrong with Microsoft. There seem to be no consistency in the OS. Some phones have that ability some don't. I've Attached an image

Hi,
static IP was also an issue for me, so I made an app which implements this function. You can get it from Windows Store.
I cannot publish links yet. Just search for 'static ip' in Store.

Cheers:angel:

Hello,
I tried the app but after changing my IP address and reconnecting, the app shuts down and I get connected to my preferred WiFi without internet access (which was possible before too). When I go back to the static IP app my IP address has changed back to original...
