If at all you can get anything close to Denim would be Update 2 but for that you'll have to be on the Denim firmware to start with. What phone variant are you using BTW?

You can update to version 8.10.14219.341, it's almost full Denim. Go to "slow track", it would be the first update. I did it on my 635, and it really made a difference, it became much faster and smoother.

That does not install the firmware to enable equalizer. Plus the firmware does make a huge difference. After installing the Denim firmware one can actually get 8.1 Update 2 which makes the performance real good.

Att version and Usa

Look for instructions here: http://forums.windowscentral.com/samsung-ativ-s/353229-3.htm to get to Update 2 without the firmware. I have personally installed the official unbranded US Denim ROM on my AT&T Lumia 635, plus I have also updated to Update 2. The performance boost is very noticeable
