MacBook users won't switch that easy just like we people won't give up WP. A more neutral audience, however, will probably go after Surface because it's beautiful, has amazing software support and also because there's no other appealing option out there
I've seen many people's comments on YouTube and on this site that they're switching from their MacBooks to Surface Books and from iPads to Surface Pros.
What I've also seen is people switching from Windows 10 Mobile to Android/iOS. I thought I would not be one of them, but I just can't see why would you stay on a platform that may have nicest UI and security if it's developers don't release new features for it, don't market it properly and cancels many features and phones that were supposed to be released and were really innovative.
But nevertheless, I've also seen people stick to their Windows phones for whatever reason they've done it (they already had a working phone, short on budget, simply couldn't give up the UI etc.). About 2% of them. It shouldn't be much different for MacBook people if they're looking primarily for great design, but as it has already been mentioned in this thread, a lot of Apple customers are indeed very loyal.
