Verizon HTC One M8 update

Not sure how to post news updates, but my HTC One from Verizon has just informed me of a new software update. Either this is the one from December or a new one. 229MB, downloading now.

Once it finishes downloading, check what is was and let us all know Verizon updating a WP qualifies for 8.0 on the Richter Scale of news.

Well, whatever it was it failed. Got a 801882d1 error. I am currently on:
OS version: 8.10.14192.280
Firmware revision: 2061.30.10602.605

I am almost certain this is the update from December that will not install correctly on my phone. I doubt I would be the only one reporting a new update from Verizon.

I probably already have the update your are trying to receive. When I first received my device a week ago, it only had early version of 8.1. After I set everything up, I check for updates and the 8.1 update was good to go.

Try turning off and on, then try updating again?

How on earth did you get an M8 with 8.0??? It launched with 8.1.
