Just a quickie, I take it the battery is replaceable on the 950XL?

My 1520 is dying rapidly through battery issues and MS (In the UK) have just lowered the price of the 950XL and are throwing in the screen dock.

Was thinking to hold out to the HP phone, or replace the 1520 in the short term with a 650 or at a pinch the 950 and then pass that on to the wife, but the deal on the XL is tempting and I could have it in my hands within days.

yes, the 950 and 950Xl have replaceable batteries.... that are a pain to get a hold of.

Thanks, bit of a weight off my mind after the non replaceable one on the 1520, vowed I would never buy another one without the ability to pull the battery in times of need............

Just thinking this through before placing the order.

it is tough to get a second battery, but it is doable. I was able to get one from a UK seller that shipped to the U.S, for like $60.00 including the shipping cost. but as you are in the UK, batteries are readily available for you for around 20 pounds.

The deed is done, a 950XL and display dock are on there way on standard delivery for the princely sum of ?399, the phone on it's own was ?469 last week and the display dock is ?79 so I reckon a saving of ?148.

Given my last two phones have lasted me a combined 6.5 years (HTC HD2 and 1520) I thought I could treat myself and hope I get at least a couple of years out of the 950XL and the HP Elite will have to wait or even be bypassed.
