is the Lumia 920 still a good buy

I just recently cracked my Lumia 925 and began the lookout for the best Lumia I could get for around the $100 mark,I made a thread about it,and now clearly see that the best I can get for around $100-140 would be a phone from the 9 series, and since I'm on att ,my options would basically be the
1520
1020
925
920
830
But I can't find a decent 1520 for any less than $240,the 1020 is known to be extreme slow and I'm not dealing with a phone that takes 10 seconds to open the camera, and the 830 is IMO the best windows phone right now,but it is only affordable if your getting a contract,$499 or even the $320 price tag the non att versions carry is out of my range,I dont wanna cash out on a phone just so it can get replaced by the next flagship Lumia in the summer so my final options are pretty much, get another 925 or gets 920.but I can't choose....and here's why
I dont want to spend $100 and just get the SAME phone I have now,I want something fresh,so I think I wud like the 920 but
THE 920 IS SOOO OLD...and that scares me...for one its age probably guarantees some types of mad issues, and since its soo old there's no way I'll find one in Lumia repair warranty to have them fixed,I mean are they even made anymore?? So advice anybody?? please

My 920 is still working well. Have you considered the 735? I'm sorry, I am in UK, so I have no idea on price or even if it us possible on at&t.

Is it a phone to put you on until something new comes, or one that you will get on a 2yr contract?

There is nothing wrong with a 920. Yes, it is one of the "first" of the new Lumia breeds out there but it is still more than capable and adequate for the average daily need and use.

with the exception of LONG load times on newer, higher end games, my 920 runs solid.... enough to wait for the new flagship mentioned on yesterday's Windows 10 keynote

I use a 920 currently and it runs as well as my 925 with the added bonus that it has wireless charging :) I would definitely recommend it for anyone that is on a budget :) btw how old a phone is doesn't really matter within the WP environment (for now at least)

i don't think the 920 is still made. The 925 on the other hand, likely yes. Personally, i'd go for another 925, but keep in mind their differences:
920 is bulkier. 925 is slimmer and has a more elegant finish. 920 has 32 gb of internal storage though, against 16 gb of the 925. The rest is exactly the same.

my advice? take another 925, but consider choosing a different color this time, it might give you that "fresh" feel

For that price it's either the 925 or 920. If you're still debating on the price then 635 is a lot cheaper than that but at the cost of some good premium features.

Being a 920 owner who looked at the 925 when it came out i would go for the 920. The 920 has double the internal memory and wireless qi charging integrated, its tough as a brick (seriously if I was getting robbed I could beat someone with the phone and it would still work, lol). Still own the phone and it works great with no issues.

I do agree with you. Infact I'm using my 920 till my 830 shows up in mail.

Edit: Forgot to add, battery life on the newer phones (SD400) is a lot better than the 92X so decide accordingly

Yupp agreed lol. I actually only bought the phone to keep my hunger for tech satisfied, but after just a few days, I realized this phone has the potential to stick around for years to come. It's amazing how smooth it runs, even with 8.1

I actually did consider this as a good option getting the 925 in a different color, but the problem is att (the u.s carrier in with) only had the 925 in black, and unlocked versions of the 925 in black and grey go for up to $350 on Amazon and eBay
