Is the Wallet dead?

I've never used the Wallet, mainly because I've not been able to. However recently I started commuting via train. I thought that the WP Wallet was meant for that, so I tried to bring it up. It closes immediately. Every time I tried it, that's what happened.

So is the Wallet on WP dead?

I'm using a Lumia 928 with the Denim release.

Not at all. Far from it actually. A couple of months ago at WinHEC, Microsoft detailed a plan that it's working with Credit Card companies to expand the capabilities of Wallet.

Well I'm glad to hear it. But I wonder, why then when I tried to get it into it, did it do nothing but bring me immediately to the Windows Phone start screen?
