Are there best practices to ensure long battery life such as always keep the battery fully charged as often as possible or let the battery get 'low' before recharging?

Now im seeing you everywhere IF the phone is new, drain the battery to around 5% and then charge it. Do this for about two weeks. In the long run this helps. Also don't put the phone to charge every time it discharges 1%
