Is there a larger aftermarket battery for the 920?

I'm trying to keep my 920 going but its short battery life is really getting to me. Since its out of warranty and I don't mind doing some repair work, is there anywhere that offers a bigger battery than the OEM? I can't seem to find anything in my searches.

re:

It is a sealed battery, so something bigger would not fit.

I use this to charge my device on the go.

Just consider to install "Preview for Developers" to have the latest WP 8.1.1 for your Lumia 920 ... that made a big improvement for a battery life of my Lumia 920 ... for my Lumia 1520, I did not see a such change by WP 8.1.1

Ya already did that. I didn't see much gain, maybe 10% at best.

I have the latest firmware, stand by time us good most of the time. But actually using the phone will result in about 3-5 percent per minute sometimes more. It is ridiculous.

That battery meter is sometimes strange - when I used navigation a last time, it dropped to 43 %, but then it stayed on 43 % for the next 5 hours ...

I just got a Nokia/Microsoft wireless charge plate with built in battery. It charges both the phone and the plate at the same time if needed too which is handy and for an all in one solution it is not exactly huge either.

It has 4 small LED lights to tell you it`s charge level and only a 2-3 hour charge to full with enough afterwards to give most phones a full charge. Perfect for sitting on your desk or thrown into a bag for a weekend away or even a daily backup. Nokia Portable Wireless Charging Plate - Overview - Microsoft - UK

I have Cyan firmware with OS 8.10.14176.243 - how about you ?

Same, mostly I think its just where I live. I think the signal isn't the best so its always looking for a better signal draining my battery.

Batteries degrade over time. You should consider getting a newer OEM battery on Ebay or somewhere else. It takes 2 T5 Torx screw and 5 minutes to install.

Is the battery the same as any other Nokia phones?
unfortunately, it's not the same for any other Nokia phone. If you refer to popping the back off and simply replacing the battery then it's not the same. You have to take the housing off of the L920. You take the 2 T5 Torx screws out as thejaredhuang described above and pry the housing off from that side (after removing the SIM tray+card). There are videos on WPCentral and youtube on how to do this.
