Is there any way to disable search button?

I mean come on! I would totally use it if it would be a universal phone search. Fast access to contacts, and so on...I just changed from my beloved Nokia E52 to a 620 and I do miss some certian symbian solutions.

Nope! But a universal local search (similar to the one on windows 8) is supposedly coming with WP 8.1
