My 1020's accelerometer just bit the dust and is interfering with other phone functions, so I had to get another (cheaper) phone just to tide me over until the Intel based phones come out (drool).
So now I have a Lumia 735, and it is my first phone WITHOUT a dedicated camera button. HOLY COW I MISS THAT BUTTON SO MUCH! Didn't realize how much I relied on it, how much I LIKE it until it was gone.
I've looked around for some kind of alternative but found nothing. Wondering if anyone here knew of anything out there that I was missing. Would love something like the new Moto G's gesture based camera launch. That could be a somewhat acceptable substitute for the time being. https://youtu.be/x8ue2PkEdI0
Though nothing beats a dedicated two stage button. Nothing. But launching through the homescreen or action centre is just painful imo. The moment has passed by the time the camera launches.
