So I was updating my surface pro 2 today with the new firmware and it bricked my surface. This was the worst time for something like this to happen because I have a final report due tomorrow. So I head to the Microsoft store. Fortunately I'm only ten minutes away. They tell me that my surface needs to be completely refreshed for any chance of salvaging it. This of course didn't work. Then they told me they didn't have any 64GB versions in stock. I was really bummed. While I waited a bit longer for them to find a solution, he came back and told me they would give me 128GB version free of charge. I was like, "Holy Crap, you just made my day." I also got to keep my old charger and pen. And I get 200 more GB of SkyDrive storage. Lets just say a very awful day turned into an awesome one. Moral of the story, Microsoft customer service is pretty legit.
