Issue with Windows Insider App and Windows Update

Hey,
I was so excited about today's build, I installed the insider app and chose Insider fast. The phone rebooted and I headed straight to phone update to check for the new build. But a new build wasn't there to be downloaded. I opened the Insider app to get greeted by the initial screen, Turns out the Insider Fast didn't 'turn on'. I tried again and again. I did a soft reset, tried it again, but there was no change.
Anybody who's experienced the same and is there a work around for this.

I was trying this on a Lumia 720 on 10586.107.

next time read and understand the whole post before attempting the ame stunt. the build - red stone - and all the further releases will only be made for windows phone that came preloaded with win 10. ( 550 - 650- 950-950 xl)

your 720 and all the other lumia devices will get this update later in coming weeks.

Easy... I think I missed that.
In any case, the insider app should register me to the Insider Fast ring. Everytime I set it to Fast it reverts back.

you can check your subscription status in the "about" page in the insider app. is the status the same as you want?
