Issues with the tablet waking from extended period of "sleep"

I have noticed a severe amount of battery drain upon reboot and the device won't wake up after being asleep for a long time

Have you noticed this happening after an update or occurring slowly over a period of time?

It's been doing it just recently I've updated all the drivers and the bios and it still occurs the tablets fine but it seems after a few hours of connected standby the device refuses to "turn on" I'm forced to hold the power for 15 second's

I've had a little search around but honestly most of the advice people are giving out is what you're already doing - hold the power for 10-15 seconds. Personally what I'd advise doing is trying to reset the installation via either a complete reinstall or by system restore and rule out a software problem. If this still persists it might be a hardware fault.
