Title says it all...I will be using this in many bars over the weekend.

^LOL. chill out. you feminist?

she still uses the robot voice though. I wan real Cortana voice saying my name. that would be awesome!
also, she needs to tell the time.

Lol, that cracks me up xD this is what she responds to me :)) luckily Cortana doesn't sound robotic at all reading what I make her read :))) when she pronounces Alex though, it sounds robotic as hell.

How did you put the question to her, was it what's my name or who am I? From her response it appeared you asked her who were you. Mine isn't calling my name verbally up til now. Maybe she needs more training, but I don't know how.

Ok, I've just asked her what's my name and she responded"you are Lawal". The voice was abit robotic. I noticed however she still can't wake me up in the next..... minutes or set an alarm for me

Hey, it works! Hopefully this means she'll use our names in more instances, like when confirming an appointment, asking a sarcastic question or something.

the response for user's identity comes along with the latest Cortana update. So technically you don't have to train her anyhow. Maybe the update hasn't been rolled out to you yet.

Oh you got it? I know, it's still robotic, but bear in mind she's still in beta, the whole "call my name" thing is actually plain and simple text-to-speech. Maybe she will sound more natural in next updates. Cheers.

Her response to my request is not robotic either, maybe they are still recording names.

For the person asking what the prompt is, she actually understands "Say my name bit*h." She see's the command as "Say my name b****" and responds correctly. Funny as hell

You guys so lucky,She can't recognise the English of Chinese people clearly ,our pronuncation is neither US or UK,it's hard and a pitty for me.

Look on the bright side, at least at encourages you to try to pronounce more correctly, which is good...
...
... Right?...
Anyhoo, keep working on your pronunciation. I'm a Vietnamese and I find little difficulty bossing Cortana around :)

It teaches you to talk like a Murican actually, i can't say "FAST" in british english she just bings "First".

Hold on now. Aren't you guys in the UK getting Cortana soon? Then, your British accents will be supported. Us Vietnamese still need to wait a little longer (by a little longer I mean opposite). Most Vietnamese can't take advantage of Cortana's features because they know little to no English, and many have very rough and gimmicky pronunciation. Lucky for me, my pronunciation is pretty good so Cory can understand me 9 out of 10 times. It's the people in unsupported countries who need to worry. But you Chinese and British are getting Cory pretty soon so yeah, i don't think you should be worried :)). Cheers 🍻

im malaysian, but i still dont speak murican english, their pronunciation for many words are different to international/british english. And everything is still in farenheit not degrees. Still have to wait for some time for these things to be sorted out.
